Personal Media Corporation has released and put on sale "Teacube", a palm-sized ultra tiny embedded application product based on T-Engine. Personal Media Corporation is selling embedded appliance "Teacube". It is shipped from the end of March, in standard price 198,000 yen (excluding tax). This PMC's product "Teacube/VR5701 Evaluation Kit" is powered by CPU "VR5701" of NEC Electronics, and it has 100Base-TX LAN, external CRT output in SXGA (1280 x 1024 dots), USB and RS-232C(serial) connectors as default. It also contains standard software such as "PMC T-Kernel", a standard real-time OS extended to support MMU (virtual memory), T-Monitor (BIOS), T-Kernel Extension, and PMC T-Shell, a GUI middleware. It is highly suitable for a kernel machine to construct systems with WWW browser. PMC promotes Teacube to corporation users, mainly system construction vendors for various embedded fields, such as KIOSK terminal in museums, stations and stores, OPAC terminal to search books in libraries, and watch-line terminal in factories.
