Data that originates from RFID tags must be collected sorted and integrated with operative corporate software. To date integration has been a secondary concern in RFID project planning. This is rapidly changing as consumer packaged goods CPG and retailer RFID integrator staffing demands will skyrocket over the next five years.

WJ Communications Announces EPCglobal Membership   EPCglobal is working to help facilitate standardization and cooperative development of radio-frequency identification RFID tag and reader protocols and to drive the adoption and implementation of RFID technology for global supply chain management. As part of the implementation task force WJ will proactively participate in hardware and software action groups to assist the development of useful specifications and open standards for RFID tags and readers.
