Philadelphia Eagles use RFID technology to enable labor tracking when snow removal teams are dispatched ...

... "Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC), a leader in automatic wristband identification, announces the successful implementation of its RFID solution, Labor Track, at the Philadelphia Eagles' Lincoln Financial Field. PDC's patented Smart Band RFID Wristband System improved accountability and accuracy in employee time keeping and reduced time and cost savings at Lincoln Financial Field. The system uses customized software developed by iTelligent Solutions. The Philadelphia Eagles have a fairly comprehensive snow removal plan which consists of a snow removal crew of about 27 teams, each one assigned to a specific area of the stadium with specific responsibilities. Depending upon the snowfall amount, there are anywhere from 400 to 1200 laborers. Prior to implementing an automated RFID labor tracking system, all aspects of time keeping was performed manually using paper timecards. The manual process led to inefficiencies in the accounting process and was very time-consuming. Using the new RFID Labor Track, each snow removal laborer enters the stadium and still fills out a paper timecard. A serialized PDC RFID wristband is given to each laborer, and the serial number of the band is recorded on his/her timecard. Every laborer is scanned in to proceed with the snow removal, and scanned out when he/she is finished working or goes on a break. " ...
